What is Johnny Depp doing now, after winning the lawsuit?

Johnny Depp, the well-known Hollywood actor, has had a turbulent few years. However, he appears to be on the mend after winning a lawsuit in 2020 against British tabloid The Sun, which had labelled him a “wife-beater.” So, what is Johnny Depp doing now that he has won the lawsuit?

To begin, it is critical to comprehend the context of the lawsuit. Amber Heard, Depp’s ex-wife, accused him of domestic abuse during their turbulent marriage, which ended in divorce in 2017. In 2018, The Sun newspaper published an article referring to Depp as a “wife-beater,” which Depp sued for defamation. The high-profile trial ended in November 2020, with the court ruling in Depp’s favour and declaring the allegations against him to be “substantially true.”

Regardless of the court’s decision, the trial’s aftermath has continued to have an impact on Depp’s career. He was then asked to leave his role as Gellert Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, which he had been playing since 2016. Warner Bros., the studio behind the films, made the decision in response to pressure from fans and cast members.

Depp, on the other hand, has not let this setback stop him. He has continued to work on new projects, such as a biographical drama about Italian artist Giuseppe “Pino” Pinot Gallizio, which he will produce and star in. Depp has also been cast in a leading role in the upcoming film Minamata, which is based on W. Eugene Smith’s novel of the same name.

Depp is also set to return to music, having formed a new band called “The Hollywood Vampires” in 2015. Depp, Alice Cooper, and Joe Perry of Aerosmith make up the band. In June 2022, they will release their second album, “Rise,” which will feature collaborations with artists such as Jeff Beck and John Waters.

Depp has also been involved in a number of charitable endeavours. Following his daughter’s treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, he donated £1 million to the hospital in 2017. Depp has also supported charities such as The Art of Elysium and The Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes as an ambassador for the Children’s Hospice and Palliative Care Coalition.

To summarize, despite recent challenges, Johnny Depp has remained resilient and focused on his career and philanthropic endeavours. With several new projects in the works and a new album on the way, Depp fans can expect to see more of his work in the coming years.

I love this website but this article has no place here. Many know that Depp was/is a wife beater and him winning the trial in 2022 doesn’t make him less of who he is. He has a huge on and offline following who pulled strings for him which got him to win in the eye of the public.
